Walking D Ranch Adventures provide?
We offer a variety of services and
delight in catering to your specific requests. At the heart of the
ranch experience are the day rides. However, we are able to
customize rides, campouts and Bar-B-Qs to your particular desires.
Because John is a nationally known cowboy poet he is always open to do
special performances, whether around the fire or at a more formal
function.

I've never ridden a horse
before. Can I still go?
Our staff of wranglers and string of saddle horses
are experienced with all levels of riders. Experienced riders to
youthful beginners can all have a time of their life. We can give you
basic riding lessons or hold special riding clinics. Let us know
what you want and we can accommodate.
Where do you take people on
horseback trips?
We have a number of trails that cross
the Walking D Ranch. Depending on the amount of time you want to
spend in the saddle we can show you meadows, rolling grasslands, old
farmstead ruins and century-old orchards. If you enjoy wildlife we
have special havens for bedding deer and nesting grouse, coyote dens and
wild turkeys... There is so much to see you'll want to return time
and again!
How do I make a reservation?
Rides can book up quickly so we advise
calling ahead. When you call you can get specific schedules for
the day and discuss any specific needs you may have.
Special arrangements, such as
large groups or catered meals will require
a little time for planning so make your reservations early. Just call or write to:
